Great presentation Friday at SU Town-Gown Council!

SU's Chief of Staff, Amy Hasson, was kind enough to invite me to present our bike lane plan today to the University's Town Gown Council.  The council was formed to better integrate the Salisbury and Salisbury University commmunities and improve relations between the two.  Its membership is comprised of SU student government leaders, citizens living near the campus, SU staff & department heads, as well as government and business leaders.

One of the group's initatives has been to form a  "partnership with the City of Salisbury, the University is sharing funding for a new “live near your work” program that will provide incentives for faculty and staff to purchase homes in close proximity to the University in an effort to maintain the residential nature of the area surrounding our main campus."

This is exactly what our bike lane plan is all about!!

As you might expect, our proposal was enthusiastically embraced by the group.
