After delivering nearly 600 petition signatures to Salisbury's Mayor and City Council today, I spoke with Mayor Ireton and Council Vice President Campbell, and both were in total support of bike lanes.  Mayor Ireton has dedicated staff to completing a grant request and has helped develop a budget and feasibility plan for the "spine" route.  This route will connect SU, PRMC, and downtown Salisbury.

Councilperson Campbell said that she also completely behind the idea and extended her support for the project.

Our focus now is completing the grant requests.  Once the City gets a firmer sense regarding timing of funds, we will be able to then publish a firmer schedule for the project.
